Characters like Zack, Jann Lee, and Hayate are also featured, giving us a first clue as to who might on the roster for the game. It has been a whopping six years since the last mainline title of the franchise, Dead or Alive 5, was originally released. Team Ninja is aiming to have the game run at 4K resolution, though it was not revealed on which consoles.
Dead or Alive 6 has officially been revealed via this incredible trailer. The series has always been noted for its comical portrayal of its female characters, but all that might change in Dead or Alive 6. As you can see in the trailer above, some things about the series remain pleasantly intact. The mechanics are created to help players new to the Dead or Alive series do more than just throw out some basic punches, but they are not "easy buttons". Thee will be other familiar characters, as well as new fighters.
Players can also look forward to the new combo and special attack system that allows new players to dive right in without too much practice.
Otherwise, as IGN's hands-on preview shows, Dead or Alive 6 still feels like a Dead or Alive game at its heart.
