Here’s what Square Enix announced at E3 2018

Postado Junho 11, 2018

It's a big day for E3 2018 press conferences, and Square Enix is the early bird that catches the Twitch eyeballs, starting off a day of hype. First up this morning is Square Enix, which is a bit of a surprise, considering we haven't seen them hold an E3 press conference in a number of years.

According to the developers, the game will feature new traversal options for Lara in addition to some more ruthless gameplay.

Square Enix and Capcom, meanwhile, will have a Final Fantasy XIV - Monster Hunter World crossover event slated for Summer 2018. It's a free episode in the Life is odd universe from Dontnod Entertainment for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. But the livestream did include a reveal for a brand new PlatinumGames title called Babylon's Fall. Not much else is known at the moment, though you can watch a trailer for it below.

Octopath Traveler will come to the Nintendo Switch on July 13, 2018.

Why the two new games are skipping the Xbox One is a mystery, especially as they're new IP, but since the excellent NieR: Automata (also a Platinum game) will be arriving on Microsoft's console on June 26 maybe it's more a question of when and not if.

Outside of that, there was a sneak peek at a new title called The Quiet Man, which at first glance seems to be a title devoted to a deaf man punching Hispanic dudes in alleys throughout NY.
