Griezmann enjoyed another outstanding season for Atletico, leading them to Europa League success with two goals in the final. Barca hope to sign him on July 1, when his release clause drops to €100 million, while Atletico are trying to convince him to stay by offering an improved contract.
The forward has been expected to confirm his future before the World Cup and said Saturday that was still the case.
Barca's pursuit has angered Atletico, who in December reported them to Federation Internationale de Football Association for making an alleged illegal approach and followed up with a statement in May that said "enough is enough". Let us know in the comments section below.
The Catalan giants are reportedly awaiting a decision from the France worldwide as to whether he wants to join, having also been offered an improved contract by Atleti.
"Appearing alongside Griezmann, France coach Didier Deschamps joked that the player will be "staying in Spain" and teammate Kylian Mbappe said the only thing he knows that "[Griezmann] will be on the plane [to Russia]".
Manchester United had been interested in the forward last summer but missed out.
The media gathered at France's World Cup base in Russian Federation to attend a press conference, at which Griezmann would be speaking.
"The World Cup for France starts on Saturday, there is still time".
