A few strong storms possible (again) in Alabama Tuesday

Postado Junho 13, 2018

Mostly cloudy skies, with maybe a bit of afternoon brightening, hold back temperatures as highs reach the mid-70s to low 80s with high humidity.

Tonight: Showers and storms seem likely during the evening into the overnight, and again any heavier storms could produce some flooding.

EXTENDED: The slight storm chance continues into Sunday with possible morning rain and only an isolated afternoon storm chance. High near 90. At night, mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Today: Mostly cloudy, showers/storms late. Highs on Wednesday are again forecast in the low to mid 80s.

The National Weather Service says rain has come to an end in the Lehigh Valley this morning, as the system that gave us a soggy Sunday finally moves out to sea.

UPDATE: Heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds possible

Any stronger storms that develop could drop very heavy rain and have wind gusts as high as 50-60 miles per hour, forecasters said.

This hot, humid and active weather pattern continues.

Rain chances will increase by midweek. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s, and there will be a chance for afternoon showers and storms each day.

A brief burst of higher humidity with scattered showers and storms rolls in here Wednesday before getting swept out to sea Thursday.

A few showers are possible Friday into Friday evening, but certainly not a washout.
