José Mourinho takes aim at Manchester United’s board

Andreas Pereira, who spent last season on loan with Valencia in La Liga is set to play a key role in United's first team after an impressive spell in Spain, and he is helping his compatriot get used to life in Manchester. The path to the three points began with a Paul Pogba penalty kick just two minutes in after a hand ball, and the World Cup victor with France made no mistake, finishing calmly into the far post.

Pogba answered the call to take his place in United's midfield just 26 days after lifting the World Cup with France, a response which earned his manager's praise as well as the captain's armband.

However, when it comes to being a leader in the United team, Pogba says he does not need the armband in order to assume such responsibilities. "I doubt he'll be going anywhere this season".

"The biggest spenders in the transfer window, and Jurgen Klopp has solved two of his biggest headaches - bringing in Alisson, a top-class goalkeeper, while Xherdan Shaqiri will give them more enduring quality up front if Mo Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino are missing", he added.

The wing backs were pressing forward, the midfielders worked well in tandem, and Leicester were unable to cope with the home side's fluid play at first. "We thought maximum (he could play) 60 minutes, but he managed 80".

Paul Pogba appears uneasy at Manchester United.

It's not known how Mourinho will react to the appointment, should he still be United boss at the time, but the Portuguese may already be expecting the change as he hinted at being no more than a head coach after Friday's Premier League victory over Leicester.

United gaffer Jose Mourinho claims he "needed six changes not three" in his side's season opener, with Anthony Martial seeing no game as other options had to take priority.

Mourinho lent heavily on those that served him well during a disrupted pre-season at Old Trafford, but such options are no slouches and it showed after 77 seconds when Shaw fed Alexis Sanchez to get away a shot handled by Daniel Amartey.

"They're all here, they help me, my team-mates, obviously it makes me want to give them love and give them good performances on the pitch".

So, could the reports of a rift between Pogba and Mourinho be true or are the midfielder's comments being blown out of proportion?

"[Paul] was very good". The foxes relentlessly attacked United, with none of their final attempts really challenging De Gea.Finally, one attempt on goal was deflected behind the goal for a Leicester corner in what was surely the last kick of the game.Every Leicester player, including Schmeichel, raced up to the penalty box, ready to fight for the point.
