Bristol Motor Speedway: Haven for Florence evacuees

Postado Setembro 14, 2018

Charlotte Motor Speedway will open up its campground for evacuees fleeing from Hurricane Florence.

Charlotte has opened its Rock City Campground to evacuees from the path of Hurricane Florence.

"While the Charlotte area is not completely out of the region that could face the effects of Hurricane Florence, for many of our neighbors to the east, it is a safer alternative or a good stopping point as they seek shelter elsewhere", Charlotte Motor Speedway Executive Vice President Greg Walter said in a press release from the track.

Charlotte Motor Speedway announced similar plans, offering access to bathhouse facilities on speedway property.

Atlanta Motor Speedway extended its facilities to evacuees as well, opening camping and shower accommodations to anyone in need.

A limited number of camping spaces with water, power, and sewer have also been made available for $20 per night in the Premier Campground, located adjacent to the Legends Campground. The Legends Campground is on the right.
