The Friends cast favourite was hospitalised for a ruptured bowel and had surgery to fix the problem.
Matthew Perry has spent the last three months in hospital after surgery for a potentially life-threatening condition. "He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals", his rep said at the time. And I said, "What do you mean unstick you?" Seriously, though, I have been looking for news about you for a while and haven't seen anything.
"He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals", a rep told U.S. publication PEOPLE.
A punctured bowel - or gastrointestinal perforation - can occur in the wall of the gastrointestinal tract, including the stomach, small intestine and large intestine.
Matthew has been sober since his last rehab stint in 2001, and has been open about his battle with drug addiction throughout his career.
"I'm an award-winning alcoholic", Perry told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Eventually things got so bad that I couldn't hide it, and then everybody knew".
Well now, based on a tweet the Friends star sent late yesterday, we know that he's still in the hospital after the surgery, and may be there some time longer!
Alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, he became one of the most recognisable faces on TV.
