Florida midterm election LEGAL ACTION demanded as Republican warns of FRAUD

Postado Novembro 10, 2018

The lawsuit in Broward County filed against Snipes claimed that her office withheld voter information and had blocked access to the office. Now with two of the state's most Democratic counties still filing unofficial results, Scott's lead has shrunk to less than the half a percentage point that would allow for a recount.

Scott sought to clarify the exact number of votes cast in Broward County. Scott accused Nelson of bringing in an attorney to "try to steal the election and try to thwart the will of the voters of Florida". They are comprised of the county Supervisor of Elections, a circuit court judge and the Chair of the County Commission. In a manual recount, canvassing boards examine "undervotes" and "overvotes" on ballots rejected by voting machines.

Marie Harf agreed that Broward County election officials should be more transparent, but she said, as of now, there is no evidence of voter fraud.

And who knows, some Democrat searching for ballots for the current recounts in Broward and Palm Beach counties may hit the jackpot and "find" a dust-covered box in a broom closet with lost ballots from the 2000 presidential election. Bill Nelson has begun preparing for a potential recount in a race still too close to call against Republican Gov. Rick Scott.

He told a press conference "every Floridian should be concerned there may be rampant fraud".

Scott holds a razor-thin lead over Nelson. Trump won the state in 2016 by 1.2 percentage points, and Scott's two races for governor were decided by similar margins.

"This is a clear violation of Florida law", Scott said.

"Now they "found" many votes and he is only up 15,000 votes".

"Election officials are literally just counting the ballots".

Nelson and the Florida Democratic Party are suing to prevent elections officials statewide from throwing out mail-in votes and provisional ballots.

But some Republicans, like Raschein, say they can't account for Scott's lack of apparent support in the Keys, noting, among other actions, his quick reaction in sending resources following September 2017's devastating Hurricane Irma.

Senator Marco Rubio also tweeted out a thread pointing out all of the past controversies over Broward supervisor Brenda Snipes. Her department's website said ballots cast on Election Day have been counted.

And then, aboard Air Force One as it flew out across the Atlantic, Trump tweeted: "As soon as Democrats sent their best Election stealing lawyer, Marc Elias, to Broward County they miraculously started finding Democrat votes".

A spokesman for the FDLE confirmed to NBC News on Friday the agency is now investigating after the governor's request.

The fight over the November 7, 2000 presidential election in Florida went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. Bill Nelson conceded Election - now he's back in play!? A hearing was set for 3 p.m.in state court.

County election canvassing boards, which determine whether the provisional ballots can be counted, have until noon Saturday to submit unofficial results to the state Division of Elections.

Mr Scott is now leading by a mere 17,000 votes.

This led Andrew Gillum to reply to the President, "What's embarrassing to democracy is not counting every vote - and you, of course".
