Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav have been given rest from the final T20I while Siddarth Kaul finds a place in the squad in place of them.
Releasing a statement in this regard, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, "The Indian team management has made a decision to rest Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav from the upcoming third Paytm T20I against the Windies in Chennai".
Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav have been rested for the third Twenty20 worldwide between India and Windies, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced on Friday.
The Australia tour begins on 21 November with the T20I series, which will be followed by Four-match Test series and then the tour will end with three-match ODI series. The trio is an integral part of the side in all formats and the team management has chose to give them ample rest before the marquee tour begins."The decision has been made to allow the trio to be in the best physical condition ahead of India's tour to Australia", read a press release from the BCCI.
Kaul, who recently played for Punjab, in the Group B Ranji match against Andhra, has played 3 ODIs and 2 T20Is for India in the past.
However, it would be a great chance for Siddarth Kaul to impress the selectors and press his case for the future selections as well.
Pacer Umesh was left out of the playing XI in the second match of the series. As a result, in walks seam bowler Siddarth Kaul into the squad.
