Spice Girls 'never asked' Victoria Beckham to join

While on the show, the band who are reuniting for a tour of the United Kingdom next year, their first reunion in a decade, also explained why Victoria Beckham won't be joining them on the road.

Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton are heading out on tour without the former Posh Spice amid reports suggesting the fashion designer turned the gig down, but now Mel C explains the quartet just assumed she wasn't interested and didn't invite her to join them.

Geri admitted they all "knew" Victoria wouldn't want to be involved because she's "moved on" and is very busy with her fashion empire.

Emma Stone made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (November 8) and talked all about her love for the Spice Girls - particularly her interest in Baby Spice, a.k.a.

Mel C on whether she demanded the other Spice Girls have vocal training before their comeback!

"But she did raise the point that she was never actually asked".

Geri added: "I spoke to her two days ago, before the announcement and she has said it for years that she just doesn't want to do it anymore, so we knew that".

Meanwhile, a source previously told ET that Victoria would not be joining the tour because 'she has a family to look after and also a business to run'. "Now I am, so that's really messed up", Stone said.

"The philosophy for us lot is we're a band on and off the stage".

That being said, Emma explained that 'She just didn't want to do it.

"You don't want to make somebody do something they don't want to do", she said.
