Captain Marvel Directors Tease How It Fits In With Avengers: Endgame

Postado Janeiro 12, 2019

Fans are expecting them to make a comeback in Avengers: Endgame and speculations about how that will happen have been all over the internet. "As the studio's first female-driven superhero film, "Captain Marvel" is a benchmark moment for the genre, for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and for star Brie Larson, who will play the most powerful Marvel superhero to date".

During the recent press tour for "Glass", HeyUGuys' Scott Davis spoke with Samuel L. Jackson about the end of the Avengers in Endgame and the journey that he's had playing his Marvel character Nick Fury across 9 movies.

"I mean, [the Avengers are] up against some really, really tough odds right now, we saw throughout Infinity War", Jackson explained. So now we know we need something that's as powerful as Thanos, and at some point, we'll find out how powerful she is and all the things that she's capable of. "She's one of the few people in the Marvel universe that can time travel", Jackson said.

Marvel's upcoming film, Captain Marvel, is set in the '90s, but it will still have an affect on Avengers: Endgame - at least according to directors.

That does not, however, mean that any spoilers are present in Captain Marvel, but we may get some hints in the form of a post-credit scene.

The highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War follow-up to will serve as the conclusion to the 22 films that came before it before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July. All Captain Marvel has to do in Endgame is to travel back in time and save everyone's precious neck.

Time travel has always been rumored to be a part of the plot of "Avengers: Endgame", but until now there had never been concrete proof of it, just theories and assumptions.

For now, we know that Spider-Man and Nick Fury are going to get resurrected for sure.

Captain Marvel is scheduled to open in theaters on March 8.
