The brother of Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Liverpool defender, was also attacked in the incident at a Caribbean restaurant in Manchester on Saturday.

Dane Rashford manages Manchester United's 21-year-old star striker Marcus Rashford along with a third brother Dwane.

The raiders used Dane's white Range Rover and Tyler's white BMW3 series as getaway cars to flee the scene, leaving the pair bloodied and bruised.

The three friends were on their way to watch the Liverpool game against Brighton when they were attacked at the restaurant.

While being held at gunpoint, Dane and Tyler were told to hand over their designer watches, jewellery and wallets before the gang demanded the keys of their luxury sports cars.

The police later located the stolen Range Rover in Fallowfield.

A source said: 'Thankfully they are all going to be OK.

Dane's girlfriend is Instagram model Lauryn Goodman who travelled with him around Russian Federation last summer to see Marcus represent England. Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold arrives at the stadium prior to the Premier League match at the AMEX Stadium, Brighton.

Both players were informed of the robbery and as to why their brothers were not at last night's match and are missing Manchester United's match with Tottenham at Wembley this afternoon.

The six arrested were all aged between 17-58.

Superintendent Mark Dexter of Greater Manchester police said: "Thankfully no one was seriously injured but the victims have been left understandably shaken following this incident".

"It is thanks to the swift action of our officers that we now have six men in custody but this investigation is still very much ongoing and officers will be in the area today continuing with inquiries".

"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or anyone with dashcam footage of the BMW or Range Rover around the time of the incident".
