In the 90-second teaser, Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) meet in Winderfell's underground crypt, where they look at the statues of their ancestors. Therefore making it clear what lies ahead of the now surviving clan of the Starks, the showrunners of Game of Thrones have blown up the anxiety bugle for the fans of the show.
HBO made the announcement ahead of True Detective season three's premiere, along with a new and chilling Stark-centric teaser, which you can find below. We also hear the voices of Lyanna Stark, Catelyn Stark and Ned Stark as we see the trio pass their honorific statues.
Winter is coming - but in Spring though.
Last week, a blink-and-you'll-miss-it teaser clip of series 8 showed Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, appearing to have traveled to the North where she'll come face-to-face with Sansa in front of Jon.
As they stop at the end of the tunnel, they are faced with three statues that look almost identical to them.
"Season 8 episodes will all I think be longer than 60 minutes", Nutter said.
They suddenly sense an icy chill creeping through the crypts, and draw their swords as they turn around. Maybe other teasers will show the rest of the characters standing in front of their own final resting places, playing into speculation of who's going to die.
