New England Patriots beat LA Chargers to reach AFC Championship game

In the AFC, Tom Brady's New England Patriots are in the hunt for another Super Bowl when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs, led by quarterback young gun Patrick Mahomes.

NFC and AFC champions will face off in the Super Bowl in Atlanta on February 3. The first game pits a wild-card victor with a better record against a team that's no stranger to playing in the Super Bowl. The Saints haven't been to the Super Bowl in nine years.

Lattimore, however, sealed the win with his second intercept and the Saints booked an NFC Championship game next weekend in New Orleans with the Los Angeles Rams.

The second game pits Philadelphia against New Orleans for the second time this season. Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson each had 100 yards rushing as the Rams pounded Dallas 30-22. It has been 17 years since the Rams' last Super Bowl appearance, when they lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI.

New England demolished the Los Angeles Chargers 41-28 on Sunday, scoring a franchise-tying 35 points in the first half. The Patriots beat the Chiefs 43-40 in Foxborough in Week 6.

The 41-year-old Brady added 343 yards passing and running back James White made it into the record book when he tied the National Football League record for receptions in a postseason game, with 15 for 97 yards. New Orleans hit a go-ahead field goal and then put the game away on a 72-yard touchdown from Brees to Michael Thomas on third down with less than four minutes to go.

The Chiefs also got plenty of help from running back Damien Williams who tore through the Colts defense for 129 yards.

"It's going to be a good game", Brady said of the rematch with the Chiefs.
