Police are on the hunt for a mom turned matchmaker who seems to have taken matters into her own hands in a bid to find her son a date.

It's nearly Valentine's Day, and at Towson University in Maryland a mother has been trying so hard to find a date for her son that police are concerned.

The Sun says the woman caused enough of a disturbance that Towson University police alerted students via an "incident advisory" that included a link to surveillance footage of the woman. Students have reported being approached by an older female who attempted to show them a picture on her cell phone and ask if [they] were interested in dating her son.

Alongside a picture of the woman, the police said: "The Towson University Polie Department is asking for the communiyt's help in ideitying the person below".

After receiving several complaints about the wannabe Cupid, campus police issued an "incident advisory" with photos of the woman asking for help in identifying her.

University officials said the woman isn't being sought for any criminal investigation, but simply to put the behavior to a stop.

'This incident advisory is being provided in order to make the TU Community aware of an incident on campus that may cause concern, ' the email read.
