A listing via Gamestop Germany seemingly confirms that the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be launching for the Nintendo Switch sometime later this year.
According to the page, the Switch version is likely to release on August 16, 2019. Spyro Reignited Trilogy was originally released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One a year ago. And since the game has been out since November, many fans had given up on a Switch port of the game.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy released to generally favorable reviews, although some fans weren't happy that a download was required to play all of the collection's content. The colors pop off the screen, the textures are crisp and the animations are fluid.
Of course, this could simply be history repeating itself with the listing subsequently forgotten, but the Reignited Trilogy was always expected to follow in the footsteps of the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy. By December, 2018, there was still no announcement for a Switch version, with producer Peter Kavic stating that Toys For Bob knew nothing about plans to bring the remake to other platforms.
Nintendo's hand-held console has been rumored to be acquiring the classic purple dragon Spyro.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy is available on PS4 and Xbox One.
Do you think this latest Spyro Reignited Trilogy on Nintendo Switch rumor is legit? When do you see the games coming to the hybrid console?
