It's a respectable slice of free fighting, although the a-la-carte pricing for character and feature unlocks is brutal. However, Core Fighters certainly isn't short on things to do.
The former Introduces even more high-level DOA Quests and a variety of new intro and victory scenes, whilst also tuning the "costume part earning parameters in order to help enhance the overall gaming experience".
I enjoyed Dead or Alive 6, so if you haven't played it yet and are interested in doing so, Dead or Alive 6: Core Fighters is the best way to try it out. This free version of the game allows you to play various game modes, including Online.
While we are still waiting on online lobbies, the release of Dead or Alive 6: Core Fighters also comes alongside the second major update for the game. While you only get four characters, you can at least least unlock some extra outfits for them in DOA Central, although the most ridiculous (like a range of wedding-themed outfits for all characters) carries hefty premium price-tags, unlike the generous Tekken series.
You can find the PS4 version on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox One version on Microsoft's storefront, and the PC version on Steam. Only four characters will be playable: Kasumi, Hitomi, Diego, and Bass. If playing this version of the game does end up inspiring you to pick up the full thing, Dead or Alive 6 is now available on Amazon.
